Crash road closed

A road was closed last night after a serious one-vehicle accident near Laurencekirk.

Police, ambulance and fire teams were called to the scene of the incident on the A937 Marykirk to Craigo road just after 9.30pm.

A joint investigation has been launched by Aberdeenshire and Tayside police forces. A spokeswoman for the fire service said they were providing lighting at the scene, and the road was blocked for a number of hours.
