Scot Kellett tied for fifth in France
Motherwell man Ross Kellett earned £7,137 for a tied fifth finish in the Challenge Tour’s Le Vaudreuil Challenge in France yesterday.
The Scot’s run of par or sub-par scores over the past few weeks came to an end with a closing round of one-over-72 for an 11-under-par aggregate of 273 – three shots behind the winner of the £28,053 prize, Sweden’s Alexander Bjork (69 for 270).
He won by one stroke from Aussie Nick Cullen and Englishman Aaron Rai who each earned £15,779.
Grantown’s Duncan Stewart also went over par in the last round with a 72 for 283 which saw him fall to a share of 38th place and reduce his payslip to £1,139.
