Signs venture making progress
The team challenged with promoting the north-east as a worldclass development area has claimed the future is bright for the region.
Energetica is focused on bringing new businesses with green credentials to the coastal corridor between Aberdeen and Peterhead.
Unveiling a new sign along the A90 route near Ellon, Robert Gordon University principal Professor Ferdinand von Prondzynski said: “There are a number of innovative key projects under way within the corridor which will have a positive knock-on effect for businesses and communities in the area, which also offers the ideal conditions to live and work.”
Prof Prondzynski,
“Working with stakeholders to attract further investment”
who chairs the Energetica steering group, added significant progress had been made towards “the creation of a world-class development corridor”.
Development boss James Welsh said: “The AWPR is due for completion next year, which will improve connectivity within the corridor.
“This venture, teamed with various key projects such as the Statoil Hywind Pilot Park, mixed-use development at Blackdog, expansion of Peterhead Port, and investigation of new additional transport improvements strengthens the Energetica offering and we look forward to working with stakeholders to attract further investment activity.”
Two further signs built from Peterhead granite are planned for the northern and southern entrances to the Energetica corridor.
