Assault teen treated

A teenager was taken to hospital after being attacked in Banchory at the weekend.

The 19-year-old was assaulted outside Nile Takeway at the Bellfield car park shortly before 1am on Sunday.

He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with facial injuries.

Officers believe he was involved in a disturbance with several other men in their 20s before the attack took place, and are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.

Constable Kerri Johnston said: “Around two or three females tended to the victim’s injuries after the assault and there were also a number of other people in the area who may have witnessed it.”
