Forsyth and Short peak at Ben Nevis

Forty-eight competitors took part in the fifth edition of the Tour de Ben Nevis, a 68km mountain bike challenge for endurance athletes.

Keith Forsyth emerged as the winner in the male category, while Isla Short took the crown in the female race.

The organisers were forced to change the route on Saturday morning, the day of the race, when the river crossing at Luibelt was deemed too dangerous after an overnight deluge of rain led to a surge in the water levels.
