-

The families of two dualnationals jailed in Iran are calling on the UK Government to do more to secure their release.

Richard Ratcliffe and Kamran Foroughi will hand in petitions to Downing Street and the Foreign Office today on behalf of Mr Ratcliffe’s wife, Nazanin ZaghariRatcliffe, and Mr Foroughi’s father, Kamal Foroughi.

C h a r i t y worke r Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe was sentenced to five years in prison last month for unspecified “national security- related” offences after a trial in Tehran.

Mr Foroughi, a 77year- old oil and gas company consultant, is serving his sixth year of an eight-year jail sentence after being convicted of espionage and possessing alcohol.
