Singer rounds up student votes for Democratic contender

-

Singer Katy Perry has rallied students at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, for Hillary Clinton on the first day of early voting in the state.

Perry surprised stu- dents when she knocked on the doors of their dorm rooms wearing a T-shirt that read Nasty Woman, a phrase Donald Trump uttered at Wednesday’s debate with Mrs Clin- ton. The phrase has since spread like a virus.

The singer headlined a short outdoor rally on campus along with Nevada Democratic Senate hopeful Cather- ine Cortez Masto, but did not perform any of her songs.

She campaigned in Las Vegas for Barack Obama in 2012, wearing a dress decorated like a ballot.
