Time to protect fishing resources

SIR, – On reading and hearing all the rubbish of Brexit and what the SNP and Westminster are spouting, I sincerely hope they are not going to negotiate any deals concerning the UK fishing industries.

We were sold down the river in the 70s. It is not negotiable: UK waters for UK vessels only.

As someone who worked through the so-called Cod Wars, the Icelandic government were right to protect their resources for Iceland; the UK / SNP governments must now do the same. Brian Wilkinson, Footdee, Aberdeen
