Investigators have concluded that an deadly explosion which killed seven in Lahore on Thursday was caused by a gas leak from a cooking cylinder, not a bomb, a Pakistani government minister said.

Rana Sanaullah said experts found no traces of explosives at the scene of the blast in a restaurant in the eastern Pakistani city. German officials have criticised plans announced by the Russian military to build a replica of Berlin’s parliament building as a target for teenagers to attack at a theme park near Moscow.

The Russian defence ministry said the replica would teach schoolchildren military skills and encourage patriotism.
