Take to the road with SpaceTourer
Citroen has given a glimpse of its new SpaceTourer 4X4 Ë Concept ahead of its official unveiling at next month’s Geneva Motor Show.
Following on from the new design inspired by the French manufacturer’s “Ë” range of lifestyle products, which were presented at last year’s Paris Motor Show, the new car features a unique design language.
The SpaceTourer 4X4 Ë Conceptisavailable in three body styles, XS, M and XL, to cater for various needs – the car presented here is a compact XS version.
Inside, the concept is capable of seating nine people in its largest configuration, though the example here seats five with two individual front seats fitted with armrests.
The cabin also benefits from Citroen’s Connect Nav system, which offers a 3D navigation system that can be controlled via a seven-inch touchscreen. This system also incorporates Mirror Screen, which allows for better smartphone integration into the car’s infotainment system.
The SpaceTourer 4X4 Ë features a raised ride height to give it better clearance off road, while its four-wheel-drive system gives it better capability on difficult surfaces.
Powered by a diesel engine, the SpaceTourer 4X4 Ë Concept uses a selectable 4X4 transmission created by Automobiles Dangel, an all-terrain specialist.
PThe concept vehicle features a striking grey camouflage design, as eugeot has announced a new electric version of its Partner Tepee mini-MPV ahead of the model’s unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
Set to arrive in the UK later this year, the Partner Tepee Electric will have seating for five and a 100-mile zero-emission range.
The newcomer will, however, allow owners to remove the rear seats to free up luggage area.
In total, the van-based people- well as snow chains to give it better grip in the cold weather – though carrier will boast a 1,350-litre load bay with the rear seats in place, expanding to 3,000 litres when they are folded.
The car will also be offered with a host of connectivity features, such as remote-controlled air conditioning and battery charging that accepts commands from smartphones and tablets.
Other standard equipment includes cruise control, a reversing camera and hill-start assistance. any production car is unlikely to wear these at delivery.
