Shell’s man on OGUK board
The mastermind behind Royal Dutch Shell’s £36billion takeover of BG Group has been appointed to the board of industry trade association Oil and Gas UK (OGUK).
Steve Phimister, who also oversaw the £3billion sale of assets to Chrysaor earlier this year, takes up the position as he enters his new role as vice-president of Shell’s UK and Ireland upstream business unit.
Mr Phimister takes the place of his Shell upstream predecessor, Paul Goodfellow, on OGUK’s board of directors, with immediate effect.
Bel Valves’ Neil Kirkbride has served his full five-year tenure as a board member and has now stepped down.
