Terrorist publication charge

A 27-year-old man has been charged with disseminating a terrorist publication.

Christopher Soares, of Walsall, was arrested last Monday and charged on Saturday, police said.

His arrest was part of an intelligence-led investigation and there was no risk to public safety.

West Midlands Police said the arrest and charge was not connected to the terror attacks in Manchester and London.

Soares will appear in court today.
