Lunchbox in great taste, say judges
A Macduff schoolgirl has been named the winner of a challenge to design a healthy lunchbox for children.
The Munch That Lunch competition is run by Food Standards Scotland and received entries from hundreds of children across the country.
Ruby Geddes, 10, from Macduff Primary, entered a colourful drawing of a lunchbox, including a star-shaped wholemeal sandwich, boiled eggs, nuts, yoghurt and cucumber sliced into smileyfaced shapes.
Ruby was chosen as the winner by celebrity judge Craig Wilson, the northeast’s famous Kilted Chef. The primary 4/5 pupil and her family were treated to an all-expensespaid trip to the Royal Highland Show over the weekend.
Ruby’s class also received vouchers for school resources.
