Time to fight back over Europe
SIR, – Since we told the EU that we are leaving there have been many good and bad things being said by all political parties in the UK as well as the comments coming from the Eurozone.
Perhaps if the UK had had a stronger, fully qualified team working for us in Brussels then we would not have had to spend millions on a referendum which, in my view, was the start of the UK’s problems.
Now I am reading and seeing that perhaps we were too hasty in starting the divorce and perhaps reconciliation would be better. We should all be proud of being natives of the UK. Be you Scottish, English, Irish or Welsh we have all played a big part over many years in making the UK the best group of islands in the world.
I think that the politicians in the UK should now sit down and have a think. Are they qualified to run our country? Or is it just a Monday to Thursday job with Friday being a “dress as you please day”?
In conclusion, I don't think the people of the UK were given any good advice from all the political parties put together. The politicians did not have a clue what leaving the EU was about.
We don't need another referendum, we just need to sit down and look after each other. We need Europe and Europe needs us. Time to fight back.
