Barca in for Paulinho

Barcelona are in talks to sign former Tottenham midfielder Paulinho from Guangzhou Evergrande. Paulinho has a £35million release clause in his contact with the Chinese Super League side, but Barcelona are unwilling to pay that much.

Any potential move is complicated by the fact Guangzhou will have to pay a new 100% tax if they sign a foreign replacement for Paulinho.
