Appeal lodged by killer dad

A 60-year-old woman who died at the scene after the glider she was flying crashed into a field in Hampshire on Thursday has been named as Kay Draper, of Marlborough, Wiltshire. Ben Butler has lodged an appeal after being convicted of murdering his six-year-old daughter Ellie.

Butler’s lawyers say he is appealing against his conviction and sentence.
