Fort George closure ‘folly’

-

SIR, – While American planes were safely dropping bombs from 40,000 feet in the Serbian war, our British pilots were taking their planes down into valleys to take out tanks which were shooting refugees.

This was a war which Alex Salmond described as an “unpardonable folly”.

The Press and Journal today (Tuesday, August 23) shows First Minister Nicola Sturgeon laying a wreath to the memory of those who died, who would have numbered a lot more without an RAF intervention in which our pilots bravely risked their lives.
