Choudary seeks appeal

Extremist preacher Anjem Choudary has applied for permission to appeal against his conviction for drumming up support for terror group Islamic State (IS). The 49-yearold was jailed for fiveand-a-half-years after encouraging backing for the terrorist group in a series of talks posted on YouTube. The final trailer for JK Rowling’s Harry Potter prequel spin-off Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them has dropped less than two months before the film is set to arrive in cinemas. Fantastic Beasts marks Rowling’s debut as a screenwriter, after creating a script based on her 2001 book.
