‘Dog lover’ threw puppy from window

A “dog lover” who threw a two-month-old puppy from a second-floor window after taking cocaine, before jumping out the window himself, has been jailed for 10 weeks and banned from keeping pets for three years.

Wayne Keightley, 42, of Melton Mowbray, was found guilty at Leicester Magistrates’ Court of causing unnecessary suffering to the Staffordshire bull terrier, Gipsy, on January 20 this year.
