Column recognises ‘symptoms’

SIR, – The full-page editorial from Kirsty Blackman, ‘Huge detriment to exit’ (P&J, September 23), certainly beat the same drum as Nicola Sturgeon’s previous “decade of gloom and doom" message, not a real surprise, I guess, but what I found interesting in Ms Blackman’s punchline was ending her rant about Brexit by stating that it means “risk, regret, division and uncertainty”.

Perhaps she was, after all, recognising the symptoms of independence? Jim Hardie, Monearn Gardens, Milltimber.
