Location is key to appeal of Letterfinlay Lodge
A hotel said to enjoy one of the best locations in the Highlands has been put up for sale at a reduced price after the development company that owned it went into administration.
Letterfinlay Lodge Hotel lies on the banks of Loch Lochy, with views along the Great Glen. It also sits alongside the A82 between Fort William to Inverness, which gives access to a large volume of passing trade throughout the year. The hotel was renovated and refurbished by Highland company Premier Developments Lochaber, which fell into administration earlier this year.
Joint administrators David Hunter and Derek Forsyth of Campbell Dallas instructed commercial property specialist Colliers International to find new owners. Colliers is seeking around £650,000 for the hotel, which is less than what PDL had wanted when the property went on the market previously.
Alistair Letham, of Colliers, said: “The adage ‘location location location’ could have been coined for it. Despite the problems of its most recent owners, it should present an attractive proposition to hoteliers looking for the perfect place to build a Highland tourism business.”
