Substation visit put off

A site visit and special meeting to consider proposals for an electricity substation has been postponed because too few Highland councillors are available.

The trip to Garbole, near Tomatin south of Inverness, planned for next week was arranged to allow councillors a closer inspection of the proposed site for the SSE development.

Several members complained after a site visit last month (SEP) that they were not given sufficient access to the location to properly assess the planning application.
