Police search seals off houses

Police sealed off a row of houses in an Inverness neighbourhood at the weekend after responding to an incident.

Several homes were taped off in Oldtown Road in the Hilton area of the city following the incident on Saturday night.

Officers remained at the scene throughout the day yesterday, with searches being carried out in nearby lanes and gardens.

One neighbour had heard that a robbery at one of the homes on the street was being investigated.

Another heard the police arrive at the scene at about 9.30pm on Saturday night.

However, police could not provide any details about the nature of the incident when asked by the Press and Journal yesterday.
