Police say guardwon’t face action

A security guard who was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after a suspected shoplifter he apprehended died will face no further action.

Kieren Church, 30, died after glass bottles he was concealing smashed as he was tackled by the 20-year-old security guard in The Shires car park in Trowbridge on February 9.

Wiltshire Police confirmed the release of the security guard and said no further action would occur.
