McLaren has teased us with a new design

sketch of its upcoming hyper-GT, which will become the carmaker’s most powerful and most aerodynamic road-going model. This new sketch focuses on the rear three-quarters of the hotly anticipated car – codenamed BP23 – and expands on a bird’s eye sketch revealed at the announcement of the new model in November 2016. Featuring a hybrid powertrain inside a streamlined, shrink-wrapped carbon-fibre body, the model harks back to McLaren’s revered F1 with a three-seat configuration, and will be built in a limited run of just 106 units The British automaker’s bespoke division, McLaren Special Operations (MSO), will be responsible for crafting the BP23 as a luxurious new addition to the McLaren Ultimate Series. Despite delivery not being expected for two years, all of the models have been sold ahead of production, with buyers poised to work alongside MSO to select colours, trim materials and other personal touches. The name BP23 is derived from the model’s status as MSO’s second bespoke project and its threeseat configuration.
