UK shouldn’t give in to EU bullying

SIR, – So Michel Barnier thinks that the UK’s offer on EU nationals living in the UK is too little, too late. This just underlines the bulling tactics that EU negotiators are going to take in all the coming talks.

They don’t seem to realise that they will miss the UK contributions and will be much worse off without it. They are not, as they think, in the driving seat as they need us more than we need them.

As for Jeremy Corbyn’s comment that “this is not a generous offer”, his idea of generosity is to tax the higher earners of the UK and give it to his fanatical supporters or, in one word, socialism. The trouble with socialism is that sooner or later they run out of other people’s money.
