Radio 4 remit ‘to be relaxed’
BBC Radio 4 could have more freedom over its programming under plans by regulator Ofcom, it is reported.
The proposals mean the station could reduce its science, religious and arts output as 200 regulations imposed on the station are cut to 20.
It follows a BBC petition to Ofcom to reduce the number of rules surrounding output.
