Why bother with parliaments at all?
SIR – I have realised that MPs at Westminster have no need of a long, presumably passionate debate on the Bill to ‘repatriate European laws’. Almost all the opposition parties are being instructed to oppose the government.
This view has been endorsed by our first minister who believes this Bill will facilitate a power grab by the Westminster government.
It therefore seems pointless to debate anything in parliament and seems to fly in the face of the electorate’s decision in the referendum.
If politicians can disregard the legitimate majority, can anyone say why we bother with the expense of
