Scots in mix for Tour School push
Chris Robb (Meldrum House) and Peterhead’s Ross Cameron made the best start of the five north-east hopefuls in the first round of the European Tour Qualifying School stage one at the Roxburghe Hotel course at Kelso.
They both carded two-under-par 70s, four behind the leader, Denmark’s Rasmus Hjelm, to be joint 11th overnight in the huge field.
Banchory-born, Singapore-based James Byrne and Peterhead’s Philip McLean had 74s to be sharing 56th place.
Portlethen’s Sam Kiloh (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) shot a 76 for joint 73rd place.
