Prince George:

A portrait of what a three-year-old heir to the throne loves most

-

He loves planes and even asked Kate whether he could fly a Red Arrow. He is noisy – George already has a reputation for being loud. He has mastered the art of the royal wave – George waved happily to large crowds as he toured the Royal International Air Tattoo earlier this month. He is getting into gardening – George’s grandfather the Prince ofWales has been encouraging him to plant trees at Charles’ Highgrove estate. His favourite book is The Gruffalo – George loves Julia Donaldson’s tale of a quick-witted mouse, who takes a stroll through the deep, dark wood, William has said. He is a fan of the Natural History Museum – The Prince is a regular visitor to the central London tourist attraction which is close to Kensington Palace, and is especially fond of the 3D sculptures. He has a “Gan Gan” – She may be the monarch, but the Queen is known to her great-grandson as “Gan Gan”. The Queen also leaves out little gifts for her greatgrandchildren when they come to stay. He might need to keep his younger sister in check – Charlotte is quite feisty, according to Kate.

The duchess said George is a “really lovely little boy” and revealed she “hopes that George will keep little sister Charlotte in order”. He has a vintage wardrobe – The duke and duchess have dipped back into the carefully preserved royal collection of clothes to dress George in outfits that William wore as a child. It will not be long until he starts school – William and Kate have been deciding where to send George, due to begin in September 2017.
