Wick Groats and Kirkwall Thorfinn go head-to-head in the MacLeod Insurance Services Highland Amateur Cup final at Dudgeon Park, Brora tomorrow.

Groats have appeared in three of the last four finals, winning twice, including a 1-0 victory over Thorfinn in 2013, and will go into the final as favourites.

Maryburgh clinched the Inverness and District Division 2 title thanks to a last-minute equaliser in a 3-3 drawwith IRN Security at Bught Park.

The Ross-shire men, undefeated in the league, needed a point from the match to be crowned champions. But it looked bleak forMarybur­gh when they trailed 3-2 late on. However, Maryburgh’s AndrewMill­er rescued the situation with a strike in the final minute.

Kenny Smith gave IRN the lead in the 15th minute. Harry Rae doubled the advantage

on the half-hour mark but Burgh hit back with goals fromMatty Rippon either side of the interval.

Jimmy Irvine restored IRN’s lead in the 75th minute. The 3-2 scoreline would have been enough to secure the title for IRN but Miller struck.

With the league title and the Division 2 Cup already secured, Maryburgh will be hoping to complete the treble tonight when they play Tomatin in theMiddle Cup at Bught Park (6.30pm).

Also in Division 2, Hill Rovers ran riot in a 17-0 victory against So Bar. Gavin MacMillan, DavieKenne­dy, Ian MacKinnon and Callum Ball all netted hattricks, while Martin Rich scored twice. Goals from Ross MacDonald, Mathew Riggs and Johnny MacRae completed the rout.
