International property company Kennedy Wilson Europe Real Estate (KWE) has celebrated the official opening of its latest office redevelopment at the Hill of Rubislaw in Aberdeen.

Last night’s event follows a £7million refurbishment of Seafield House, which is now known as Hill of Rubislaw.

About 200 guests attended the official opening to see the revamped building.

A high point of the night was a keynote speech from the world’s greatest living explorer, Sir Ranulph Fiennes, who fascinated guests with stories from his global expeditions.

Sir Ranulph is currently undertaking the last four stages of his seven summit challenge, which sees him climbing the highest peaks on each continent around the world.

KWE asset manager Matthew Milroy said: “We were delighted to welcome so many guests to the recently refurbished H1 at the Hill of Rubislaw, one of the city’s most wellknown and longest established business hubs and areas.

“We are extremely pleased to have hosted such a fantastic evening for the local business community, particularly with the presentation from Sir Ranulph Fiennes.”

Completed earlier this year, the refurbishment of H1 involved a major upgrade for more than 30,000sq ft of office space.

The building now boasts a new air conditioning system, raised access flooring, daylight dimming LED lighting and panoramic views across Aberdeen city centre out to the North Sea. Another feature is a new multifunctional reception area, with 24-hour security.

There is also communal working space available as part of a new business networking area known as The Hub at the Hill.

In addition, KWE is creating a cafe with internal and external seating areas.

Mike Pegler, head of European asset management at KWE, said: “The Hill of Rubislaw is a landmark area within Aberdeen, home to some of the city’s largest oil and gas companies over the last four decades.

“H1 has been designed with future occupiers in mind, and offers true flexibility with a variety of office sizes available.

“I have no doubt that the location and quality of H1 will attract both visitors and tenants, who we look forward to welcoming over the coming months.”

Further details of H1 can be found through joint letting agents CBRE and Ryden, or the Hill of Rubislaw website.
