Inverness Harriers will choose from a large squad which includes Kirsty Arnaud, Catriona Garvie, Emily Andrew, Sophie Young, Rachel Johnstone, Rachael Keith, Megan Keith and Connie Campbell.

Scotland junior hill running internatio­nal Tam Munro-White will join up with Luke Davidson and Lucas Cairns in the Inverness Harriers side aiming for success in the boys’ three- stage championsh­ips.

Leading Scottish under- 15 age group 800metres and 1,500m runner Harry Hall leads the Aberdeen AAC challenge and he is likely to be aided by Nic Tierney and Sam Griffin.

Aberdeen AAC’s hopes of doing well in the senior women’s race have been dealt a blow by the unavailabi­lity of Ellie Buchan. Gemma Cormack is now likely to lead a side which can also draw on Scotland junior hill running internatio­nal Anisha Badial, middle distance track specialist Jade Maclaren and veteran hill running champion Veronique Oldham.

Sarah Liebnitz leads an Inverness side which also includes Highland Cross duathlon champion Caroline Marwick, Julie Wilson and Roma Shepherd.

Loch Ness marathon champion Jenn Wetton leads a strong Central AC team, with former Aberdeen Baker Hughes 10km champion Fiona Thompson and former GB internatio­nal Morag Maclarty.
