Legal firm hosts event
Ledingham Chalmers has hosted a delegation of lawyers from across the world in Aberdeen this week.
The event attracted 48 delegates including from the US, Sweden, Estonia, the Czech Republic, and Ireland.
The event was the Europe, Middle East and Africa (Emea) regional meeting for Lawyers Associated Worldwide (Law), a global association of nearly 100 independent law firms in more than 50 countries.
In addition to a series of seminars on issues affecting law firms, sessions held for the group included a panel debate on the effects of Brexit and a presentation by Petra Wetzel, a lawyer turned brewer who runs the £12million per annum turnover West Brewery in Glasgow.
Delegates will finish off the three-day meeting this afternoon with a

tour of the Granite City and Dunnottar Castle, followed by dinner.
Jennifer Young, Ledingham Chalmers chairman and partner, said: “As members, LAW extends our reach globally, and enables us to easily service clients' needs in situations where, for example, they're expanding their operations or relationships into new domestic and foreign markets.
“As usual, we have a busy schedule for the session with topics ranging from employment law to Brexit.
“It's always a pleasure to meet up with our counterparts from around the world and, as expected, there has already been a lot of interesting debate and discussion over the first day."
Ledingham Chalmers has 30 partners and 140 staff based in offices in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Inverness, and Stirling.
