Cancer charity funding boost

A north-east cancer charity has been given a £100,000 cash boost to enhance and expand its wellbeing support.

Clan Cancer Support has received funding from St James’s Place Foundation, the charitable arm of St James’s Wealth Management, as part of their 25th anniversary celebrations.

The charity, which has its headquarters in Aberdeen, currently provides comfort, information and support to about 3,000 people affected each year by any type of cancer. The funds, which were awarded following a successful application and presentation, will also allow Clan to diversify complementary therapies and increase its existing therapeutic services.

Clan’s wellbeing services, which we provide free of charge to anyone affected by cancer, are such a key part of many of our clients’ journeys and are so highly valued by those who use them, as well as their families and friends.”
