Chance to change mind over Brexit
SIR, – In 2017 I discovered that my cousin, Basil Hugh Menary, died as rear gunner sergeant in a Halifax bomber over Germany on March 31, 1944 aged 22 years and had only married four months before his death (Over 400 RAF men died that night).
When I saw the Remembrance Day service this morning it reminded me of the purpose of the European Union.
We need to keep our feet under the table with our former enemies and not as the right wing Brexiters think, leave as soon as possible. Bearing in mind the false promise on the red bus the country should be given the chance to change its mind.
