Wheelchair OAP robbed

An elderly woman in a wheelchair had a fourfigure sum of money stolen in a “despicable crime” after visiting a bank.

The theft happened while the 93-year-old was shopping with another woman in Dumfries on Saturday. Police are exploring the possibility she was followed by three people after withdrawing cash.
