Mary Berry’s Country House Secrets

Who better than Mary Berry to visit some of Britain’s greatest stately homes and learn more about the dishes that have been served there? She begins her journey at the real-life Downton Abbey, Highclere Castle, which is home to the 8th Earl and Countess of Carnarvon. As well as exploring the castle’s past, Mary learns more about what it takes to keep such huge estate going in the 21st century by speaking to the family, the staff and the estate’s loyal posse of gamekeepers. The latter prove especially influential when it comes time for Mary to make a feast inspired by the Castle’s history.
