Forbes ready to shuffle Dee pack at Keith

-

Banks o’ Dee manager Tommy Forbes intends to make several changes for tonight’s Morrison Motors (Turriff ) Aberdeenshire Shield encounter with Keith at Kynoch Park.

The Aberdeen juniors were beaten 6-2 by League One leaders Ayr United in the third round of the Scottish Cup, having led the match 2-1.

Forbes said: “There will be a few heavy legs after Saturday’s big cup game against Ayr United, especially with Kane Winton getting sent off with 35 minutes to go. The latter stages of the game were pretty hard on the guys, particularly the back four.

“The plan is to freshen things up for the match at Keith.”

Keith are also looking to bounce back after suffering a 3-0 defeat against Inverurie Locos with Andy Hunter, Jordan

Forward Cammy Keith hopes his side can get back to winning ways this evening but expects a tricky test against Banks o’ Dee.

The Kynoch Park club has won only two of its 18 league matches this season but Keith feels his men have played better than their form suggests.

He said: “It is a massive game for us. Banks o’ Dee have had an amazing run in the Scottish Cup and they were in front against Ayr United before eventually going down 6-2.

“It will be a difficult game. They will be looking at our league form and thinking that they will have every chance of taking a scalp. I don’t think they’ll come to Kynoch Park with any fears as they may have done in the past.”
