● When does your weekend start?
I work full-time (as well as writing), so technically it begins when I clock off at 4pm on a Friday.
● Perfect night in?
I have lots of hobbies, so being able potter at my family history, doing a spot of writing and planning the next adventure makes a night in pretty perfect. And maybe a little TV.
● Perfect night out?
Being able to spend time chatting the people I love.

I’m really lucky in that my ideal weekend partner is my actual partner, there’s nobody’s company I enjoy more.
● Favourite weekend shopping destination?

● Favourite place to walk?
My favourite place for walking is Durisdeer in southern Scotland, particularly following the trail to Roman fort. at the
● Weekend you’d love to live again? We went to Barcelona for a long weekend a few years ago.
● Weekend you’d hate to live again We recently had to say goodbye to our dog of 13 years. That was heartbreaking.
● Perfect Sunday breakfast? Scrambled eggs with smoked salmon on nice crusty bread with a slab of butter.
● Your cure for the Sunday blues?
A swim followed by a stint in the steam room and Jacuzzi – we live across the road from our local sports centre, so it’s an easy stroll to get there.
● Your dream weekend (if money was no object)?
Home is my favourite place, so a weekend at home (especially when it involves seeing the grandkids) is magic.
