■ 2016 – Mark Cavendish won stage 14 of the Tour de France, his fourth stage victory of the 2016 Tour and 30th of his career.
■ 2017 – Roger Federer trounced a tearful Marin Cilic 6-3 6-1 6-4 to become the first man ever to win eight singles titles at Wimbledon while the Swiss extended his overall haul in grand slams to 19 titles.
