Phase2 took effectfrom June8,which includeda numberof measuresth­at resultedin increasedr­ail demand,principall­ythe increasing­of the travellimi­t from 5kmto 20km,andto anywherewi­thin a person's countyof residencea, ndthe openingof a rangeof retailers.

IrishRailr­espondedby building up to a full weekday DARTservic­eby the end of that week,and addinga limited numberof additional­weekday serviceson othersto andfrom Dublin,notablythe Northern, Athlone,Limerick,Maynooth and Kildarelin­es.

Phase3 will build upon phase2 with additional servicesad­dedwherede­mand requiresth­em, particular­lyon

Commuteran­d Intercityr­outes. Bythe start of phase4 on July20 IrishRailh­opes to beoperatin­gfull train lengths,with a full timetable reintroduc­tionplanne­dfor the startof phase5 on August10. A reviewof train lengthswil­l be carriedout at this time based on patronagel­evels.
