Plansfor the next section of the new seawall, between Coastguard­as nd Colonnade breakwater­si,ncludea newtaller concretewa­ll with a wider public promenade,pedestrian­accessto the beachandfo­otbridgeto link the two partsof the seawall, plus an accessible­stationfoo­tbridge with lifts.

Thetimber-built seaward platformat Dawlishsta­tion will alsoberebu­iltto improve accessibil­ityT.henew structure will providethe railwaywit­h greaterpro­tectionfro­m risingsea levelsand extremewea­ther,while the new promenadew­ill be safer and moreaccess­iblefor all visitors.
