Thisdevelopmentfollowsa contractualdisagreemenwt ith its formeroperatingpartner RDCDeutschlandw, hich had previouslyrun its own open accessHKX-brandedservices until 2018when it joined forceswith FlixMobility,which is alsoGermany'slargest long-distancebusoperator.
TheremainingGerman FlixTrainroute betweenStuttgart and Berlin,operatedfor Flixby CzechcompanyLeoExpressa,lso restartson July23.
FlixMobilityhasshelvedits plansto operatea networkof trainsin Francefrom 2021.
Thecompanyhad applied for train pathson severalroutes linking majorcities,but in April announcedthe trackaccess chargesproposedweretoo high so it wascancellingits plans.
RDChasalsoannouncedplans for a new open accessovernight service- branded'Alpen-Sylt NightExpress-' between Westerland{Sylt)and Salzburg, to operatefrom earlyJuly.
Thenewservicewill be diesel-hauledbetween Westerland{Sylt)and Hamburg, and hauledby a Railpoo'lVectron' locofrom there to Salzburg.
