Loss of Eastmond is a blow to Sale

SO ONCE again money talks in rugby and Kyle Eastmond has opted to join Wasps.

In truth you cannot blame him when you look at the Wasps lineup for the coming season. They are going to be some team if Danny Cipriani can fire the backline.

But you also have to feel sorry for the fans of Sale Sharks, a club condemned by current small gates to live more on the breadline.

They thought they had done a deal for Eastmond whose dissatisfaction with Bath can surely be traced back to the arrival of Sam Burgess.

Sale had apparently offered Kyle a generous deal by their terms and had high hopes of bringing his attractive play to the north west.

Now, with a few weeks to go before the start of the season, it’s back to the drawing board for Steve Diamond.
