Eastmond and Daly will bring crowds flocking
KYLE Eastmond’s move to Wasps as cover for the injured Kurtley Beale has the potential to round off one of the most exciting back lines in the Premiership.
Inside-centre Eastmond’s decision to leave Bath to become part of a Wasps backline that already boasts England’s Elliot Daly at outsidecentre, suggests that they could strike up one of the most potent centre partnerships in Europe.
Eastmond, who won the last of his six England caps against South Africa two years ago, is a playmaker with the skills to bring the best out of Daly, whose outside break is one of the most spectacular sights in the Premiership.
While the main attraction will be seeing how well Eastmond and Daly dovetail, there will be plenty of other points of interest.
With Jimmy Gopperth and another new arrival, Danny Cipriani, set to battle it out for the fly-half shirt, and the adventurous Rob Miller aiming to plug the gap left by Charles Piutau’s departure to Ulster, Wasps should have no problems putting bums on seats at the Ricoh.
