Unbeaten Wimbledon the top dogs

WITH the top four engaged against each other and all so far unbeaten, something had to give, and so it did with

Wimbledon edging top of the group following a 34-27 victory at home to Hertford.

Dillon Thomas, Josh Charles, Noah Jarvis and Tommy Moore with the crucial try bonus were the scorers of tries all

converted by Brian Coke, who also kicked two penalties.

Guernsey hang on in second spot after just edging it 10-12 away at Westcombe Park.

It was 3-12 at the break through tries from Adam Nixon and Luke Davies converted by Owen Thomas to a penalty from James Cameron.

In the second period Wests' hit back with a try by Bradley Batuo converted by Cameron, but they were unable to force the winner against a strong defence.

Guildford went down 17-23 at home to Sutton

and Epsom. Ben Holden scored both tries for the home side, both converted by Dan Paton to add to an earlier penalty. Angus McCurdie and Sam Hurley, who also slotted two first-half penalties did the damage for Sutton. Tonbridge Juddian got the better of Westcliff 15-19 but it needed a try in the final minute to steal the points. Andy Rostoms and Euan Binnerman were the home tryscorers with Jack Jones successful with a penalty and a conversion.

It was close run thing at Oaklands Park where

Chichester edged it 26-25 at home to Shelford. Tom Belcher, Jack Makin, Henry Anscombe and Jack Evans crossed for tries with Owain Davies hitting three conversion­s. Amersham and Chiltern lost 19-40 at home to Southend

Saxons. It was three tries to six with Aaron Doyle, Mike McDonald and Ian Stock going over for the home side.

Dorking had the better of Colchester, beating the home side 14-21 at Mill Road.

Rhys Hartley and Sam Wadling were the home try scorers both converted by James Crozier. Joe Morgaji, Ed Carne and Matt Noble, who slotted all three conversion­s, were the tryscorers for the visitors.
