Houston Rec return confirmed by Bath
BATH have re-signed backrower Leroy Houston on a short-term deal until the end of October.
As revealed in TRP last month, the 29-year-old Australian has been training with the squad and has had his move finalised since the injuries sustained by No.8s Taulupe Faletau and David Denton.
Houston agreed a move to Super Rugby club Queensland Reds in the summer, with the hope of furthering his international career, but now that the Reds' season has finished, Houston has returned to The Rec.
“He’s a fantastic character and a brilliant player. We know he'll settle straight back in,” director of rugby Todd Blackadder said.
Scotland back-row David Denton will be unavailable for the autumn Tests after being ruled out for up to four months with a hamstring tear.
Faletau is also a doubt for the forthcoming internationals. He faces up to eight weeks on the sidelines because of a knee injury. The 24-year-old suffered medial ligament damage against Northampton but the club said he will not require surgery.
Wales play Australia on November 5 before games against Argentina, Japan and South Africa. Faletau, who joined from Newport Gwent Dragons, is one of seven Welsh exiles who will have to rely on being picked as wildcards for international selection this season.
