Two tries in the first-half from Will Thomas and New Zealander Kalim Kalimete gave the hosts a 14-0 lead. But, Bala made it tough as they replied with a try and a penalty and forced the hosts to hang on.

Llanelli Wanderers succumbed to their first defeat with a 15-10 away loss at

Crymych. The hosts trailed 7-3 at half-time before launching a second-half fightback with tries from Dion Gibby and Guto Davies. Jake Jenkins added a conversion and a penalty to give Crymych some breathing space before a late penalty gave Llanelli a small consolation of a losing bonus-point.

Kidwelly made the most of Llanelli’s loss with a 43-3 win at home to Penclawdd to extend their advantage at the top of the West division.
