Warriors will battle hard to keep prop star

-

WORCESTER Warriors are struggling to keep hold of their Englandqualified Georgianborn loose-head Val Rapava-Ruskin for next season.

The 24-year-old, who left Tbilisi aged two, started his career with Blackheath and is out of contract at the end of the current season.

Rapava-Ruskin had a season with Saracens as a youth before joining Toulon prior to moving to Sixways in 2004. I have been told that Saracens are one of the clubs who are keen on signing Rapava-Ruskin, who has told the Warriors he wishes to return to the London area because of family who live there.

He is also attracting the interest of Harlequins who want to strengthen their front row next summer.

Saracens are hoping they have better luck with Rapava-Ruskin than they did with Kyle Sinckler after the tight-head turned them down to resign with Quins a couple of weeks ago.
